Some Things

Hannah Georgas - I saw her accidentally last week. Daaaamn she blew me away. I bought all of her music. She has it on vinyl. I offered to impregnate her and raise our children. She laughed.

Kelly. Kelly. Kelly.

SO! I'm turning 26 years old. Balls in a half-shell that is some fucked up shit. Of course I'm going to trip on time right now. If that's not your bag perhaps you took a wrong hyperlink turn.. er . . .

This I know: Life, she goes. And the best stuff comes easy. At least for me. When I'm trying, or working, or gaming, it doesn't turn out nearly as well or as fun as when I. Just. Am. . .

2009 was a tremendous year. WAIT! It's not over. This I know, but the 10-month check up is favorable. Although Nihilistic November threatened it, it turns out I was just misinformed. I actually think everything is significant. Every rattling leaf in the wind, every person passed, every bullshit blog post.

It all matters because it's part of your experience and ultimately your experience is tantamount because it is really the ONLY experience you will EVER have. . . . . . . ....did ya?.... . . did ya? Did ya catch that? Only and ever! Like I can ever make those sort of final assumptions. Boolshit mate, booolshit.

Alright.

Vinyl

It's like I've discovered some long lost secret. Of course that's not the case, but if life is purely an individualized experience then for me vinyl has been long, and lost. So I've bought all of the important parts of the vinyl experiences. The dope speakers, the machines, the records. Now it's all function at a very sexy rate. The Bat Cave is complete.

I picked up America's Horse with No Name. It reminds me of GTA: San Andreas. I listened to the rock radio station that Axl Rose hosted which played America a lot. Great record, even if it has a large scratch in the middle. It still works.

Work is.
Arms Up is fun.
New Rockstar Philosophy is alive.
DIY Gigs.com will be a juggernaut.
I am.

Observations Of Time

Significance is less significant in the clear light of the moon.
When foggy I perceive that I see more clearly.
Perhaps that is because I am forced to FEEL when things get foggy.
Your eyes are simply one sense that you have.
If something is truly significant then your eyes may even deceive you, but your other senses, even the ones that modern science will never be able to quantify, tell you what is truly significant.

I began reading the By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept it's interesting. It became significant.

Puppet Judgment Trends

This last week of mine has been really important.

First and foremost I've let go of things that I was carrying around for a long time. That was a really important step. But following in close second are these two epiphanies:

1. That self judgment is based purely on your ego. Your ego is really just bullshit. It's a self construct based on your mind. You need that ego but too often you identify with that ego as being who you really are. But that's not true. Your mind/ego is simply one part of who you are. It's like a hand. Your hand helps you do many things daily, but you are not your hand. Ya dig?

Okay now stick with me. When you self judge yourself you are typically creating things in your mind that have not occurred. I often think that this person or that person would be critical of me although none of that has actually happened.

So if none of it has happened then you are simply constructing it to occupy your mind.

Let your mind be still. Inner silence is good for us all, even musos.

Epiphany number 2:
Let go of the outcomes and experience more of the journey.
So easy to say, so easy to read, yet our mind wants to keep control, so we forget. And that's the secret it's not even about remembering or forgetting. All you need to do is BE. Experience the now for what it is. Glorious and ever present. Feel the breeze, hear the dirt, smell the sky.

Also - CMJ all the way! - Think me the vibes to get there. Or put me on a showcase.

Things That Have Happened

You should download this mix disc. I love music like this because it reminds me of how easy it can be. The further you shove your head up into the music industry the harder it is to remember that great music can, and should, be made with as little interference as possible. With what you have now can you make a record? Of course. Now Just Do It.

I wanted a chocolate croissant on Monday a friend gave me a bag of them yesterday. Great day.

I would like a massage. I will remedy that soon.

Jeff leaves this week. Crrrazy. Lots of jamming. close eyes now. bye.

Fuck you Captcha

Are you ever in the middle of an email login where you fuck it up and your ass gets slapped with a Captcha test?

Gaawd Dam that is annoying. What if you're a grandma who moves turtly slow, how is she supposto get that shit done. And these days Captcha is like 2x as long as it used to be. How many letters/numbers/aggrivations are we going to have to go to before people say enough is enough for Captcha.

I hear what your saying that its all just for security, but come on all it makes me do is let my browser save my passwords. That makes me lazy and makes me forget my password. Which leads us back to the time thief that is Captcha. Occasionally my cookies get flushed and as do my logins let alone my passwords. That is like waking up to see a bus rip through your home.

In other news, How the fuck is Nickleback a successful band? Who is that stupid? Really? Really! Like come on. They were okaaayy on that very first indie release. But Kroger and Co. have become so similar in churning out the homogenized hit rock song, that they could be qualified as a Chinese milk factory. With that poison that killed all those mainland Chinese.

Also mainland China is huge, it's the size of europa. And b/c china has over a billion people there is a ton of mainland Chinese. So tons of people probably got sick from shitty shitty Nickleback Milk.

You should listen to my band and to this band. Wow the end of The Lot is trippy.

Keeping It Fun

Good Day long time no see. I like that about you.

Right back where we left off. Like an old friend. Made out like gangbusters. Yes. So. Any way. Some things to chew on. Remember to keep it fun.

Since my last post I've acquire employment on a magnitude level. If my universe is me, then it truly was a universe shaking shift. From bohemian bum to bohemian business man. I have that written on one of my business cards (Yes! I have buisness cards for christ sake!). The card says professional business man. I sometimes feel like that. But most time I just feel very blessed that I
a) even have a job
b) they pay me to do internet related stuff
c) Every detail was so imacualatly perfect that I could not have asked for any thing else

Yea.. so, my point was to keep it fun.

Because I work with the internet so much now (in previous days I was just a connection junkie) I have to remind myself that the reason I got into this world was because I liked it. I was and still am a connection junkie. I think that's why I do music. Music, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to communicate with millions/billions of people within a 3 minute time frame. I go into this territory because I'm listening to some demo recordings of our last set.
SIDEBAR: I record everything we do. I believe that everything I do or say contains at least a nugget of gold/truth and I want to one day explore it deeper. But who has the time right? I have 10's of gigs of demos, poems, riffs, jams, jams, and more jams with nuggets of gold. I've created a mountian that I some day intend to mine. Not for it's exploitation but for it's glory. You know what I mean? It's the intentions that are differnent, and I truley believe that intentions are what really matters. . . to a point of course. Actions are also heavy indicators of a persons motives, so intentions don't get you all the way there.... but I digress.

KEEEPING IT FFFFFUN.
So. Internet. Job. Job. Work. Work. Not culturally/typically "fun." But internet is fun. It's built on fun. Just go to LoLCats! So keep it fun is what I've forgot. So digg here we come. What sometimes gold mine, often times tar pit, Digg is. I've spoken with friends about the relevance and in grown culture that social watering holes like Digg are. Weed. Left leaning politics. Funny, assinine shit. Stuff the average learned North American would enjoy. That doesn't mean it's at all GOOD or SIGNIFICANT. Most of the time Digg is just a talented slicer of time.
Before you even know it your 2hrs into you 20minute internet break.
So maybe Keep It Fun is to shallow...

Keep it fun and keep it short.
-Always exhaustive in person-Voyno-

Now Now is Up! It's really really good good. bye.
